The Tai Chi Chuan is an exercise and philosophy applied to four fundamental objectives:

           1.  Optimal Health
           2.  Personal Defense
           3.  Wisdom
           4.  Longevity

Tai Chi means "Supreme Ultimate". These philosophical concepts were developed by the ancient wisdom of the Chinese based on the study of nature, our surroundings and our interrelation.

The Tai Chi symbol is the Yin and Yang which results in the duality of all that exist.

The exercise or discipline of Tai Chi Chuan is a complete system designed to help you safely achieve optimal health for all ages.  Tai chi is ideal for seniors. Tai Chi has been practiced in China over 700 years ago, and continues to thrive today world-wide by millions of students.

Tai Chi Chuan incorporates martial arts positions and postures in a manner of rhythmic, fluid, slow and easy. Combined with mental concentration, natural energy of your body and the control of your breathing.

In this manner the student learns how to relax the mind and the body and acquires a harmony which is referred to as meditation in movement.

During the practice of Tai Chi the student benefits from the following:

  • Rejuvenates
  • Increase Agility
  • Strengthens the function of your Internal Organs
  • Muscles
  • Tendons
  • Immune System
  • Regulates Blood Pressure and Arteries

The nervous system eliminates the negative emotions and increases the production of endorfins to the brain that results in emotional well being.

The Taoist Monks practiced Tai Chi to develop internal energy or natural bio-electrical energy which we all have.  This energy is known as Chi or Qui-Gong.  Characteristic of the Tai Chi Discipline are excellent health, emotional well being and longevity.

The Tai Chi Instructor, Ramon Diaz, Teaches Tai Chi Chuan the Yan System.  He studied martial arts continuously over 40 years.  His interest in addition to self defense are wisdom and emotional well being.  He concentrated specifically on three Chinese internal systems being Southern Praying Mantis, Wing Chun and Tai Chi Chuan.
