TACTICAL NINJUTSU
Modern. Practical. Effective.
The next generation in Self Defense, Close Quarters Combat, and Defensive Tactics

"Legendary tactics meet modern science and application."
Ninjutsu is an ancient Japanese combat system that utilizes strategy, superior mechanics, and knowledge of human anatomy to overcome one’s adversaries. TACTICAL NINJUTSU is a modern variation of this legendary system combining its tactics with those of Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do and Southeast Asian Martial Arts (Kali and Silat specifically), along with modern science and revolutionary training methods. The result: one of the most complete and efficient forms of modern, real-world self protection available today. Its emphasis is on effectiveness over style, practical methods with an economy of movement, and minimal training time required. The bottom line: this system was designed and developed for the purposes of real-world application, and not for sport, exercise, or the preservation of a historical art.

Self Protection Overview

Walk confident. Live free. Go home safe. We live in a new era of crime and violence. You may or may not be interested in "martial arts", but in today's world, whether you are a student, a parent, military, or law enforcement, everyone needs to, at the very least, know how to stay safe and effectively defend themselves should they need to. Real defensive skills and tactics are not "flashy" like you see on TV. If you really want to know how to protect you and your loved ones, survive a street attack, or prevail on the battlefield, you must have a proven set of tactics. Tactics that are meant for the modern streets and that you'll know they'll work beyond just concept when it actually counts.

Street vs. Sport. In a real life confrontation, there are no referees, you can't "tap out" to save yourself from harm, there are no rules in place to protect you, and there is a high possibility that it won't be a one-on-one fight. (It certainly won't be a fair fight and many times weapons become a factor). You may not have several years to master techniques, and even if you did, many complex techniques taught in some traditional martial arts do not work in real life, high-stress situations. Modern Reality-Based Systems are designed to prepare you to handle a real life confrontation using techniques that have been proven to work in modern times. It doesn't exclude or modify techniques because they are too dangerous in a competition and the techniques do not take years to effectively master. In fact, when you do train for sport and exclude the more dangerous techniques, you are actually training your body and subconscious mind not to use these techniques in a real life confrontation; the very techniques that are most likely going to be the most effective for this type of situation.

So how does it work? Our "reality-based" programs (Tactical Ninjutsu and Essential Self Defense) start off by taking advantage of your natural movements; specifically, your "flinch" reactions. We then make slight modifcations so that those reactions become responses. We encorporate "economy of motion" and "economy of reaction" into every move we make. Our philosophy is to accomplish more with less movement and with the minimal amount of thought and technique. By minimizing the guess work of what our attacker may do next or having to rely on a "read" of their next move, we increase our own reaction time without having to commit years of training as a fighter. This is known as our Reaction Response Training (RRT). We also teach you the underlying mechanics instead of hundreds of techniques. This is our "Master Keys System." Your body will learn the moves more naturally instead of you having to memorize countless techniques that will extremely difficult, if not impossible, to recall during a high stress, fight or flight, situation. Defending yourself becomes as natual as walking and breathing and works without having to think about it or remember complex movements.

What about the "UFC", or Kung Fu, Karate, Taekwondo, etc? Traditional / Classical Martial Arts such as Kung Fu, Taekwondo, Karate, etc. are not modern reality-based and neither is Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). They are typcially either out-dated or have been modified for sport/competition. In order to be truly effective, a reality-based system needs to meet the following 10 rules:

  1. It must be appropiate for modern day combat
We no longer wear armor or fight against slow moving armored warriors.
  2. It must work on an assailant that is much larger and stronger than you
There are no weight classes on the streets.
  3. It must work against both armed and unarmed assailants
Does your training include defense against the use of multiple types of weapons, both standing and on the ground?
  4. It must work against single and multiple assailants
Fights are not always one-on-one. Ground work is extremely important, but on the streets, how long do you want to be on the ground going for that "submission" if there are multiple attackers?
  5. It must work against determined assailants, not just cooperative training partners
Training scenarios and "sparring" must be realistic in nature. You will rarely encounter a fight against someone using the same style as you on the street, and the days of a one-on-one "fair fight" are over.
  6. It must work when you are distracted, older or injured and appear to be a good target of opportunity
Attackers look for what they perceive as easy targets, not a challenge.
  7. It can't have a specific defense technique for each individual situation
In a high stress, fight or flight state, the brain usually can't recall complex, memorized movements. Furthermore, if you've never trained a technique for a particular situation, you are most likely out of luck. Learning a mechanics oriented system solves both of these issues.
  8. It must work in every possible environment
The same method must work in snow, sand, parking lot, woods, jungle, your living room, etc.
  9. It must become instinctive as quickly as possible
It shouldn't take months or years in order to be used effectively.
  10. It can't be bound by rules of engagement such as in competition and sport
Rules exist in competition to protect the competitors from serious injury. These rules ban certain moves and techniques, the exactly the same "save your butt" fighting moves that work most effectively on the streets. If you eliminate them from your training, they won't suddenly show up like magic when you need them.

If you want to break boards, do fancy Hollywood style flipping, jumping, spinning kicks, fight in competitions, or simply learn an art, then modern reality-based programs are not exactly what you are looking for. But, if you want to know how to defeat any attacker in only a fraction of the time it takes to learn a traditional martial art, then come check us out. Our Tactical Ninjutsu and Essential Self Defense programs (street self defense, military combatives, and defensive tactics) are practical, modern, realistic, and designed to be street and battlefield effective, even against stronger, non-compliant/resisting subjects.
